TalkTalk Adds Customers in Last Quarter
Charles Dunstone, Chief Executive of Carphone Warehouse, commenting on the latest quarterly report of the company, stated that the customer oriented packages introduced by TalkTalk have been the biggest reason for the success of the company.
Commenting on the increase in subscriber base by 47,000 customers this quarter for TalkTalk, he added that the last quarter saw an increase of 74,000 and the one before it saw an increase of 36,000. However, this quarter’s increase is special because there was also additional increase in customer spend by 5 percent which the company totally attributed to its value added packages like more computer security and faster broadband downloads.
Dunstone, reaffirming that Carphone Warehouse was indeed doing well in the market, went on to state that the company had in fact managed to migrate 59,000 customers from other networks to its own, which means that about 79 percent of its customers are now on its unbundled network. These figures, he added, were without taking into consideration the customer base of Tiscali Broadband UK, another company that Carphone Warehouse has taken over recently.
Strong customer base and good position in the broadband market of TalkTalk is largely due to its value added propositions and customer friendly approach. Attributing its success to the core values of the company, which emphasize on customer satisfaction, Dunstone said that this was the main reason the company was doing so well even during this recession.
