Spending Time in and Around Durban : The Drakensberg Mountains

The South African peninsula has temperate weather throughout the year, and has the bonus of being situated – making it a great vacation away from the dank and dark European and American wintertimes.

Kruger National Park

The Drakensberg Mountains have roughly 40000 works of cave art and is the biggest assemblage of such work in the world. There is proof that the bushman civilisation existed in the Drakensberg at least 40,000 years ago, and possibly over 100,000 years ago. The Drakensberg Mountain Range is simple to get to from nearby Durban and you can book accommodation in Durban without any trouble.

KwaZulu Natal
KwaZulu Natahas has become progressively popular with tourists – principally advertised as the Zulu Kingdom. It is a shame that many from abroad don’t go to this region, as many who DO come here know that it gives visitors a variety of things to do. For many years it has taken the moniker as the Garden Province – and a well deserved name it is too. And again, there ought to be no trouble locating guesthouses near KwaZulu.
